Katie Wheatley qualified as a Senior Reporter at the Chronicle & Echo in August 2024, two years after joining the paper as a trainee.

Born in Northampton, Katie returned to her hometown to take on her first full-time journalism role at the Chron, following the completion of a journalism studies degree at The University of Sheffield.

Her ongoing and award-nominated campaign work focuses on giving a profile and voice to businesses and fighting for important issues.
