MI Transport are an end-to-end logistics business who have seen significant growth in the past year
Family-run couriers, MI Transport, recently took home two impressive awards from the Northamptonshire Logistics Awards.

MI Transport won the Small Logistics Company of the Year award, and Chief Executive Officer Warren Boxford won the Logistics Person of the Year award. Van Transport Planner Jacob Boxford was also a finalist for the Rising Star award.
MI Transport are an end-to-end logistics business who have seen significant growth in the past year. Founded by Warren Boxford in 2013, MI Transport operate across the UK and beyond but have always remained based in Northampton.

This year, the business has expanded their vehicle fleet by 35% and increased their operator’s license to accommodate up to 25 new trucks and 40 trailers. This exciting expansion means they will be able to take on more deliveries and offer a range of different vehicle types to customers.
They also signed their first formal contracts, both with highly successful companies operating across the UK and beyond. MI Transport are also finalising a new warehouse site in Northampton, which will bring with it new work and job opportunities for the local area. These substantial developments contributed to their stand-out victories in two award categories.
The Northamptonshire Logistics Awards are a yearly celebration of the county’s logistics sector for businesses at every level. This year marked the ten year anniversary of the awards, and logistics professionals from across Northamptonshire attended the glamorous awards evening.
Reflecting on the award wins, Warren said: “To be recognised alongside so many respected people from our local logistics community means a lot. It is incredibly rewarding to see the hard work recognised, and I’m very grateful to everyone who has played a part along the way.”
The awards judges said: “MI Transport has continued to go from strength to strength. Following the acquisition of two major contracts and a 35% expansion of its fleet, the company has demonstrated impressive growth, ambition and operational excellence. A fantastic achievement and a thoroughly deserved award win for the business.”
Furthermore, for the Logistics Person of the Year award, they said: “A strong advocate for collaboration, Warren believes that building relationships across the logistics sector is key to mutual success. A truly deserving winner and an outstanding ambassador for the industry.”
These awards achievements are a testament to the dedication of the MI Transport team and the value they provide to the local community and logistics industry.
Warren has high hopes for MI Transport’s future growth. He said: “The size of our fleet today, and the calibre of our management team, drivers and warehouse staff, and their dedication to doing a great job, will see us in a good place to meet customer demands. Whether that’s unexpected peaks, preparing for their busiest times, or getting their goods through international customs points in some of the most challenging circumstances.”
