New leadership team set to take Town forward

In a statement published on the club’s website, Tubb admitted it had been a ‘challenging 12 months’ for the Purple Army.

But he was quick to stress that ‘our commitment to this town, our supporters and the future of the club has never changed’.

Tubb has moved to ‘bring together a new leadership team made up of local businesspeople, committed supporters and individuals who genuinely care about Daventry Town FC’.

He wrote: “To the people of Daventry, our supporters, players, families and everyone involved with the club

“Firstly, I want to take this opportunity to acknowledge what has been a challenging 12 months for Daventry Town Football Club.

“There have been a number of changes during this time, and I appreciate that, from the outside, this may have created some uncertainty about the club's direction and commitment to the people of Daventry. I want to reassure everyone that our commitment to this town, our supporters and the future of the club has never changed.

“Running a football club involves so much more than the 90 minutes we see on the pitch each week. There is an enormous amount of work that goes on behind the scenes, and getting the right people in place is essential if we are going to build something that is successful, sustainable and, most importantly, something the whole town can be proud of.

“Over recent weeks, following many hours of positive discussions, I have sought to bring together a new leadership team made up of local businesspeople, committed supporters and individuals who genuinely care about Daventry Town FC.

“What has become clear throughout those conversations is that we all share the same ambition: to bring the club together as one, from our youngest junior players right through to the first team, and to make Daventry Town FC a club that truly belongs to its community.

"I will be further adding to the leadership team in the coming weeks and by early 2027 in a position to announce the future structure.

“One Club. One Community. One Future.

“We want to strengthen the relationship between our junior and senior teams, improve our facilities, develop our clubhouse and create an environment that welcomes the whole community.

“There is plenty of hard work ahead, but I genuinely believe we now have the right people, with the right attitude and commitment, to make that happen.

“To our supporters, players, parents, coaches, volunteers, sponsors and everyone who has stood by the club, thank you. Your continued support means a great deal, and we want you all to feel part of what comes next.

“Daventry Town FC belongs to the people of Daventry, and together we want to build a club that the whole town can be proud of.

“Here's to an exciting new chapter.”
