Jobcentres matching local talent with local employers at Daventry Careers Fair tomorrow
"Our Jobcentres across Northamptonshire provide tailored support to help people find work and progress in their careers, while our employer partnership teams connect local businesses with suitable candidates”
Tomorrow is the day for local jobseekers, students and anyone looking to explore new opportunities as Northamptonshire Jobcentres and partners host a free Careers Fair at Northampton College's Daventry Campus.

The event, taking place on Wednesday 16 September from 10.00am to 1.00pm, will bring together employers, training providers, careers advisers and support organisations from across the region, all under one roof.
Julie Pritchard, Recruitment Consultant for Daventry Jobcentre, said: "Our Jobcentres across Northamptonshire provide tailored support to help people find work and progress in their careers, while our employer partnership teams connect local businesses with suitable candidates.

Alongside jobs fairs, training opportunities and support with childcare costs, jobseekers can access vacancies through the Find a Job service. We also encourage employers to get in touch to learn how we can help fill their vacant posts.
Tomorrow's Careers Fair is a fantastic opportunity for local people to meet employers, explore current vacancies, discover training opportunities and gain careers advice, all in one place. Whether you're looking for your first job, considering a career change or wanting to develop new skills, there will be opportunities available for everyone."
A key feature of the event is its dedicated focus on young people aged 18 to 30 during the first hour, from 10.00am to 11.00am. This dedicated session has been designed to give younger jobseekers the opportunity to speak directly with employers, training providers and support organisations about vacancies, apprenticeships, work experience opportunities and long-term career pathways.
The event supports the Government's wider ambition to help young people gain the skills, experience and confidence needed to succeed in the labour market. Commenting on the latest labour market figures, Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, Pat McFadden, said: "Today's figures show a labour market that remains resilient in the face of significant global economic pressures, with unemployment steady in recent months and vacancies around their long-term average. But we know there is more work to do, particularly to ensure young people gain the skills, experience and confidence needed to succeed.
That's why we're backing young people with new work experience opportunities through our partnership with the British Retail Consortium, supporting the retail sector's ambition to create 100,000 jobs, alongside a £2.5 billion investment to transform youth employment support and £3.5 billion in tailored employment support for disabled people."
From 11.00am onwards, the event will be open to people of all ages, providing an opportunity for the wider community to connect with employers, discover local vacancies and explore training and development opportunities.
