Held on Halloween evening to avoid clashing with Remembrance events, this year's event brought together families and residents for an evening of spooky entertainment, food, music and fireworks.

Unfortunately, foggy weather conditions developed earlier than forecast and affected visibility of the fireworks display. The Council recognises that this was disappointing for many attendees and shares their frustration that the display could not be enjoyed in all its glory.

Despite the challenging conditions, the evening saw a fantastic community atmosphere, with many visitors embracing the Halloween theme in their spooky fancy dress.

DJ Mark Dean kept the crowds entertained, while the musical soundtrack, illuminated entertainment and variety of local food and drink stalls helped create an enjoyable evening.

The Council would like to offer particular thanks to the many organisations, contractors and individuals whose hard work and dedication made the event possible.

The Council would also like to recognise the considerable work undertaken by Juice Sound & Lighting and all those involved in the three-day event build, delivery and subsequent clear-up.

Cllr Keith Ashton, Mayor of Daventry, said: "Although the fog was disappointing and unfortunately affected visibility of the fireworks, it was lovely to see so many residents and families coming together to enjoy the evening. The Halloween costumes, entertainment and fantastic community atmosphere really helped make the event special.

"My thanks go to everyone who worked so hard behind the scenes, our event partners, contractors, stallholders and, of course, everyone who came along to support us. Events of this scale take a tremendous amount of planning and teamwork, and that effort is very much appreciated."

Daventry Town Council is grateful to everyone who supported the event and looks forward to welcoming residents and visitors back to another Fireworks Spectacular next year - hopefully with clearer skies!
