India to host 130+ countries at Bharat RE Summit and Expo 2026

The summit will bring together policymakers, investors and innovators to advance clean energy investment, technology partnerships and international cooperation, with over 75,000 participants expected to attend.
More than 130 countries are expected to participate in the Bharat Renewable Energy Summit & Expo 2026 in New Delhi from 2-5 November, bringing together policymakers, investors and innovators to advance clean energy investment, technology partnerships and international cooperation.
Hosted by India’s Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), the summit will be held alongside the 9th Session of the International Solar Alliance (ISA) Assembly and the 4th International Conference on Green Hydrogen (ICGH), creating a platform linking renewable energy markets, multilateral cooperation and emerging technologies.
The event comes as India continues to expand its clean energy footprint. The country’s non-fossil fuel capacity surpassed 304 GW in August 2026, including 168 GW of solar power capacity, and it is targeting 500 GW of non-fossil capacity by 2030. According to the government, achieving that goal will require significant investment in renewable generation, transmission, storage, manufacturing and green hydrogen projects.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has highlighted that India is the first country among G20 nations to achieve the target laid down under the Paris Agreement.
The summit will focus on accelerating the global energy transition through discussions on clean energy financing, resilient supply chains, green hydrogen development and scalable deployment models. It is also expected to provide opportunities for developing economies to strengthen cooperation on affordable energy access, technology exchange and innovative financing.
The ISA Assembly will add a multilateral dimension to the discussions, bringing countries together around practical approaches to expanding solar deployment, mobilising investment and developing local capabilities.
Shri Pralhad Joshi, Union Minister of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India, and President of the ISA Assembly, said: "India's clean energy journey demonstrates what is possible when ambition is matched by investment, innovation and sustained action. But the energy transition is a shared global responsibility.
“At Bharat RE 2026, we invite governments, investors and innovators to forge partnerships, strengthen supply chains and advance solutions that make clean energy affordable and accessible to all. Together, we can turn shared ambition into lasting progress."
Organisers expect the event to attract more than 75,000 participants, alongside over 400 exhibitors, 500 speakers and 90 curated sessions, positioning Bharat RE Summit & Expo 2026 as one of the largest global gatherings focused on renewable energy and clean technology collaboration.
