Monet and Majorelle talk at Daventry and District U3A

A virtual tour of two gardens created by famous artists will feature at this month's meeting of the Daventry and District U3A.

Starting at 2pm on Thursday May 19 at the Community Centre in Ashby Road Chris Rowe will present his virtual tour showing ‘The Magic of the Gardens of Monet and Majorelle’.

Monet’s famous garden at Giverny, France, depicted in many of his paintings, is seen at its best in May and will be compared with Majorelle’s colourful garden near Marrakesh, Morocco, where the rich cobalt blue used in the garden is named after him.

New members are welcome to go along to join the U3A – a group which aims to make learning fun for older residents.
