Daventry Scouts bowled over by sport

The 2nd Daventry Scouts had a fantastic time on Wednesday at Daventry Indoor Bowls Club. They spent the first half an hour learning how to deliver the indoor bowls, then after a quick break split into six teams to have a competition match.

The runners up winning two out of three matches was the team called “Super Bowl” coached by Debs Sach, with Ridha, Jenifer and David. But having won all three matches was “The Winners” coached by John Sach, with Sharon, Paul, Sarah and Mia.

Leader Matt Taylor thanked the club and the members – Mike and Carol Taylor, Ed and Cath Hibberd, Debs and John Sach – for an excellent night for the Scouts.

Chairman John Sach, thanked the scouts for trying bowls out, and hoped they would consider playing it more. Junior membership at only £1 and all equipment to start is provided.
