As part of the National Walk to School week Henry Jeffries from Staverton School and mum Rachel Jeffries, who is also a school governor, walked to school from their turkey farm Newbold Grounds on the county boundary on Tuesday.

Henry walked over 8,000 steps and was very proud of making his goal albeit a few minutes late for school.

Headteacher Ruth Walker-Green was waiting to congratulate him when he arrived at school and thanked him for raising awareness of this national campaign.
