Athletics success for Daventry school students

In qualifying three students became district champions at the District Athletics Championships in Rugby, while others secured second and third places in their disciplines.

Katie Print became the U17 100 metres district champion.

Sam Barker became the U17 400 metres district champion.

Will Stevenson became the U19’s 400 metres district champion.

Emily Sanderson was awarded second place in the U17 100 metres.

Sam Aris was awarded third place in the U17 1,500 metres.

Simon Cotton, principal at DSLV, said “we are so proud of our students and we wish them the best of luck.”

The County Athletics Championshires take place at Rockingham Athletics Stadium on June 10.
