Former Dubliners members Sean Cannon, Patsy Watchorn, Eamonn Campbell and Gerry O’Connor bring their famed repertoire of folk songs, rebel songs and ballads to Royal & Derngate on Saturday as The Dublin Legends.

Sean and Eamonn were members of The Dubliners for close to 30 years.

In 2012, the The Dubliners celebrated 50 years in the music business with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards.

Following the death of Barney McKenna and the retirement of John Sheahan it was agreed The Dubliners would end as a touring band.

Sean, Patsy, Eamonn and Gerry wanted to keep the music alive though, and The Dublin Legends were born.

The Dublin Legends play on Saturday, March 16.

Tickets cost £21 and doors open at 7.30pm.
