Elizabeth Bowman, who runs Bowman Osteopathy, received the One to Watch Award at the Woman Who Solopreneur Awards on Friday 9 October 2026, at the National Conference Centre near Birmingham.

The latest recognition follows her Osteopathy Service of the Year 2025–2026 – Central England award, presented at the Central England Prestige Awards on 24 May.

Elizabeth established Bowman Osteopathy in 2023 and now runs a practice dedicated entirely to home visits across Daventry and surrounding Northamptonshire villages.

She treats patients of all ages, from newborn babies to people in their nineties. Her service is particularly valuable to older patients, people with mobility difficulties, parents with young children and anyone who finds travelling to a clinic difficult.

Rather than patients travelling to her, Elizabeth brings her portable treatment couch and equipment to their homes. Her appointments are also longer than those typically offered in clinics, allowing time for assessment, treatment and advice without rushing.

The judges praised Elizabeth for developing a business model that brings osteopathic treatment directly to patients, rather than expecting them to travel to a clinic.

Describing her as having “no blueprint to follow”, they recognised her determination to develop the service. The judges also highlighted her commitment to “continually expanding her toolbox and thinking strategically about how to grow her business for the future”, describing her as “a very worthy 'One to Watch'”.

Speaking about the award, Elizabeth said: “I really wasn't expecting to win either award, so to come away with both in five months was a very big surprise! It's been a lot of hard work, particularly as I run the business on my own, so it's lovely to have that recognised.

“I'm especially pleased that the home-visiting side of what I do is being recognised. It's not a different type of osteopathy, just a different way of delivering it, and for some patients that makes an enormous difference.

“I'm very grateful to my patients and to everyone who's supported me and the business over the past three years.”

Sandra Garlick MBE, founder of Woman Who, said: “Running a business on your own takes courage, determination, and resilience. So much of that work happens behind the scenes, which is why creating a platform to recognise these achievements matters.

“The Woman Who Solopreneur Awards give business owners the opportunity to be seen, be heard, and be celebrated. Congratulations to Elizabeth Bowman on this recognition. I hope it becomes a springboard for new conversations, connections, and opportunities.”

Elizabeth plans to continue developing Bowman Osteopathy, providing home-visiting care to patients across her local area.
