AN AMATEUR dramatics group will be bringing the classic TV sitcom Fawlty Towers to the stage later this month.
Flore Boards will be presenting two episodes from the legendary British sitcom written by stars John Cleese and Connie Booth.
The first will be Waldorf Salad when an American guest to the hotel winds hotel owner Basil up the wrong way. This will be followed by Communication Problems. In this story the arrival of the “guest from hell” — Mrs. Richards, a rather deaf, dotty and bad-tempered woman — interferes with Basil’s attempts to prevent the money he won on a racehorse from being discovered by Sybil, who disapproves of gambling.
Performances will run from Wednesday, March 19 until Saturday, March 22 starting at 7.30pm each night in Flore Millennium Hall.
Tickets are available by calling Margaret Clarke on 01327 340269 or Rosemary Read on 01327 341026.
Prices are £7 (£5 concessions) on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and £12 on Saturday to include supper.
A raffle will be held each evening and proceeds will go to the upkeep of Flore Millenium Hall.
