MAUREEN Nolan, Les Dennis, Alistair McGowan and Warwick Davis are among the stars coming as part of the new season at The Belgrade Theatre in Coventry.
There will be a wide range of musicals, comedies and dramas coming in the first few months at the theatre,
The legendary musical Blood Brothers will be opening for a two-week run fromJanuary 27 to February 8. The show starts Maureen Nolan.
TV and stage star Les Dennis makes his way to Coventry from February 24 to March 1 in The Perfect Murder.
It has been written by international best-selling crime thriller novelist Peter James.
This will be followed by the much-loved farce See How They Run between March 3 and 8.
Comic situations involving mistaken identity, doors and vicars, will be heightened by the fact that the cast are all under four foot tall.
Amongst them is Warwick Davis, the most famous short actor in Britain, who is best known for his roles in Willow, Star Wars, Harry Potter and, most recently on TV, in Life’s Too Short and An Idiot Abroad 3.
BAFTA-winning impressionist, comic and writer, Alistair McGowan and leading stage and television actress Rula Lenska, star in the centenary year production of George Bernard Shaw’s Pygmalion from May 12 to 17.
The cast also includes Jamie Foreman, who has over thirty film credits to his name including Layer Cake and Roman Polanski’s Oliver Twist. He was also recently seen as Derek Branning in the soap opera EastEnders.
New comedy-horror The Mummy will be performed from March 21-29. A legal practitioner, a 5,000-year-old man and a mystical Queen clash in this play designed for the family.
