There will be lots of foodie delights as dozens of local businesses will be appearing at Daventry Food Festival.

The event takes place in the town centre on Saturday from 10am to 4pm and follows on from the success of last year’s event.

Daventry High Street and Sheaf Street will showcase local food producers and retailers from in and around Daventry.

With a variety of cuisines and local produce there’s something for everyone and even better with free admission.

There will be a wide variety of cakes, biscuits, bread, fudge, popcorn stacks and homemade chocolate stands at the events.

Meat, barbecue and cured goods will also be available on the door.

And for those people who like a little tipple, there is also going to be stall selling beer, wine, cider, prosecco and spirits.

All of the stalls will be based in Daventry or in the surrounding Northanmptonshire area,

The event has been organised by Daventry Town Council. For further information about the festival including all the stallholders visit www.daventrytowncouncil.gov.uk.
