Beautiful Thing comes to the Royal and Derngate in Northampton from May 18 to 23.
Made by the theatre’s in house production team, Cyrano De Bergerac comes to the theatre. The show has been based on a translation written by Anthony Burgess from the play written by Edmond Rostand. It tells the tale of Cyrano De Beregerac, blessed with being a brilliant poet, soldier and romantic but cursed with a big nose.
The show is performed from April 3 to 25.
The theatre is also marking the 800th anniversary of the Magna Carta with a performance of King John. The striking staging will transport the church back in time to the 12th century world of politics, power struggles with unlikely alliances. It comes to the Holy Sepulchre Church in Northampton from April 24 to May 16.
This will be followed by the production of a play suppressed by the FBI for the fear of the unrest it could cause. Arthur Miller’s The Hook is set in the dockyards of 1950s New York among the political tensions of the day. It can be seen from June 5 to 27.
Tickets for the shows can now be booked. For further details or to book, call the box office on 01604 624811 or visit www.royalandderngate.co.uk.
