Exciting film selection at Northampton’s newest cinema

Northampton’s newest cinema, the Errol Flynn Filmhouse, has another exciting and eclectic selection of films lined up for November.

The cinema’s Under The Radar series continues to present new independent films and the programme also includes some world cinema releases, not least the acclaimed Japanese drama Like Father, Like Son.

The filmhouse will be showing the best of the new mainstream releases, including the comedic but heartfelt Philomena starring Judi Dench, as well as giving movie-goers a second chance to see some of the most successful titles of recent month’s such as Blue Jasmine and Rush. Other highlights include two comedy shorts from Josie Long, introduced live by the comedian, the screening of the 50th anniversary Doctor Who special, and breathtaking documentary The Epic Of Everest, featuring footage from the 1924 expedition.

This Sunday, November 3, see The Great Beauty at 2pm or NT Live (Encore): Othello (NLP) 5pm.

On Tuesday November 5 see In A World... at 6.15pm or Blue Jasmine at 8.30pm.

On Wednesday November 6 see Girl Most Likely (PB) at 11am, Sunshine On Leith (SS) at 2.30pm, Blue Jasmine at 6.15pm or The Wicker Man at 8.30pm.

On Thursday November 7 see NT Encore: The Habit Of Art (NLP) at 7pm.

On Friday November 8 see Filth at 6.15pm or Prince Avalanche at 8.30pm.

On Saturday November 9 see Project Wild Thing at 3.30pm, Girl Most Likely at 6pm or Filth at 8.30pm.

And finally on Sunday November 10 see Epic Of Everest at 2.30pm or NT Encore: Frankenstein (NLP) at 5pm.

Tickets for standard film screenings are priced at £7.50 (concessions £6.50) with peak screenings (Friday and Saturday evenings from 6pm) costing £8.50 full price (concessions £7.50).

Children’s tickets are £5. At Silver Screen matinees, tickets for more mature customers are also priced at £5. There are special, exclusive Parent and Baby screenings, where tickets are £6.50 (baby under one goes free). Tickets for premium screenings of live productions are £14 full price, £12 for concessions and £10 for children, for non-live premium screenings are £12, £10 and £8.
