Disney On Ice – Review by Rochelle Lye

Disney on Ice World of Fantasies, performed at NIA Birmingham, is a spectacular show with lots of effects, colours and of course, jaw-dropping skating skills.

The show covered fast pace story telling of ‘The Little Mermaid’ and ‘Tinker Bell and the ‘Fairies of Pixie Hollow’ with a surprise appearance, at the beginning of the show, from some of the favourite motors from Disney’s Cars. The whole of the second half was dedicated to Toy Story 3, which was just as moving and special as the film.

With Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy as your guide, everyone is in safe hands as each performance takes you into the worlds that you have seen and admired on the big screen. With great props and music not necessarily linked to Disney, parents as well as children can enjoy a fun-packed night of entertainment.

Of course there are also classic Disney songs, including ‘Under the Sea’ and ‘You Got a Friend in Me.’ Everyone can clap and sing along as they watch these accomplished skaters perform some amazing sequences.

This is a great show to take family and friends to see and one which helps you to forget your daily worries.

With tickets ranging from £14 to £37.50 Disney on Ice World of Fantasies skates to its final performance on Sunday, November 6. However, if you missed out or would like to go and see another performance, then Disney on Ice, Princesses and Heroes slides its way back to Birmingham NIA on March 14th to 18th 2012. Tickets go on sale November 18.
