Children got to interact with a range of biblical characters.

This was the first Christmas Interactive session by the Churches Together in Daventry where local ministers and lay people told the story as Mary, the innkeeper, shepherds and a wise man looked back on this momentous event in their lives, and its deep meaning for them and all people.

Children took away a mother and child picture, some straw, a lamb with wool to put on it, and a star to remember what they had seen.

A spokesman for CTiD said: “They in turn brought a gift to the crib for a modern poor mother and baby, and sang a carol. It was a moving encounter for all involved both young and old.”
