YOUTH RUGBY: All Blacks turn on style to edge out Milton Keynes

Daventry Under-14s enjoyed an excellent 26-7 win over Milton Keynes.

With a few key players missing, Daventry tried out players in different positions.

Daventry got off to a flying start and scored a try after three minutes through Ollie Simms, which was converted by Ben James. Milton Keynes responded and levelled at 7-7.

Daventry responded welll with a try from Sam Brown which was also converted to go 14-7 ahead. In the second half Daventry played some excellent free flowing rugby.

Further tries were scored by Matthew Jordan and Kian Marks, with James adding his third conversion of the game.

Daventry eased to victory in this friendly at Barkers Butts.

Under Nines

Daventry enjoyed a really successful morning at Men’s Own, winning all three of their games.

All nine players, who were Will, Joe, Lee, Charlie, Liam, Max, Isaac, Ewan and Jack, scored tries in the three wins, which saw Daventry only concede four tries.

There were stand out performances in attack from Joe and Max. Whilst in defence Liam was outstanding.

Jack also carried on from last week, putting in numerous tackles. Charlie and Lee continued there recent improvement. Will had an outstanding morning too.

This weekend Daventry face Towcester at home.
