HORSE trailers in their hundreds arrived at Onley Grounds Equestrian Centre near Rugby accompanied by a crowd of sports men and women from eight nations ready to compete in the 2011 Polocrosse World Cup.

The event which runs until July 18 also includes an International Challenge Tournament and a Pony Club polocrosse competition, as well as horseball, reining, vaulting, mounted games, show jumping and Riding for the Disabled demonstrations.

The jam-packed schedule features displays from other equestrian disciplines, such as vaulting, endurance, mounted games, horseball, show jumping and carriage driving, plus other animal attractions such as dog agility.

Organiser of World Cup Polocrosse 2011 Iain Heaton said before the event: “This really is an opportunity to put Polocrosse on the map in the UK whilst also delivering 10 jam-packed days of entertainment for all the family.”
