Saints are set to come up against a largely full strength Exeter Chiefs side at Sandy Park on Sunday after it was confirmed Scotland star Stuart Hogg is set to be fit for the Champions Cup quarter-final clash.

Full-back Hogg was taken off as a precaution in Exeter's recent 35-22 home win over Gloucester due to a hip injury and, like many of the club's other frontline stars, he was not risked for last Sunday's 40-17 Gallagher Premiership defeat at Saracens.

And after the game at Allianz Park, Exeter boss Rob Baxter said: “Stuart should be fine.

"He was running on Saturday before we left Exeter."

In recent days, Baxter has also seen scrum-half Stuart Townsend and wing Olly Woodburn return to training after picking up injuries sustained since rugby returned last month.
