The showpiece event is being played in mid-summer instead of September as it has been for many years, and the sun shone in Birmingham.
Hundreds of Northants fans made the short trip to the second city to back Darren Lehmann and his team, and they were rewarded with a 17-run win over Somerset in the semi-final.
Chris Lynn top-scored with 39 as the Steelbacks were bowled out for 143, but then David Willey and Ben Sanderson both claimed three wickets as the west country side were restricted to 126 for nine in reply.
The win means the Steelbacks will play Hampshire Hawks in the final, which is scheduled to start at 6.45pm.
Photographer Peter Short was on hand to capture the Shoe Army enjoying their day out.
