North confident Saints will get back on track at Newcastle after ‘eye-opener’ at Wasps
North and Co are at Newcastle Falcons today (Sunday), bidding to bounce back from the 20-16 Aviva Premiership defeat at Adams Park.
That loss was a sobering experience for the champions, who had comprehensively disposed of Gloucester nine days earlier, cruising to a 53-6 win at Franklin’s Gardens.

“Newcastle have had a tough run of form, they’re quite a dogged team and it will be a tough place to go,” said North. “For us it’s something we’re looking forward to after last week.
“It wasn’t our best performance at Wasps and we could have been a bit smarter in our attack and the areas we played in.
“We could have been a bit more dynamic and sometimes you need that kind of experience to bring you back down with a bump.

“For us it’s an eye-opener, we’ll take it on the chin and work on it for today.”
