IN the last full week of club matches this winter season, the visitors to Daventry Indoor Bowling Club R were Northampton and District for a five rink triples game.
Northampton took the victory 84-66, winning three rinks to Daventrys two.
Individual rink scores were Margaret Faulkner Barbara Hutt and Pat Symonds 14 Anita Petrucci 10.

Daventry also hosted Kingsthorpe men for a six rink game. With a little help from the ladies they pulled off a fine 113-95, victory, winning five of the six rinks. Captain for the day George Clifton presented the highest winning rink prize to John O’Connor, Phil Goodwin, Margaret Stevens and Norman Langdon for their 22-8 win over John Harrison rink.
The other scores were Ray Dawson, Mike Robins, Barbara Langdon and Peter Mercer 24, B Bandey 19. Alf Macari, Jennie Mercer, Ian Watts and George Clifton 20, Brian Kaye 15. Next up were the Avon Valley club from Warwickshire and it was another fine win for Daventry 138-101.
The big win on the highest winning rink score of 40-7 by Max Harper, Barbara Hutt, Pat Symonds and Adge Smith secured the win.
