Tight lines

GOOD fish are still being caught at Pitsford Water with several weighing around 4lb plus.

Pitsford Water recently hosted the popular Fur and Feather boat match with 40 anglers making it a great day.

In total 67 fish were taken with several good Browns reportedly caught and returned.

Best boat pair on the day was Lloyd Chantrell and Neil Young with nine fish for a healthy 23lb 10oz.

In second place were Clive Morgan and Gary Morris with 10 fish for 22lb 11oz.

Anglian Water’s Chris Butcher and Mark Benstead took third place with nine fish for 16lb 7oz.

Best fish of the day and for the week was a superb Rainbow of 6lb 6oz taken by Mick Hawkins.

Bank anglers still have the chance of a ‘special’ fish, fishing around the margins.

Best areas from the bank are the Gravels, Rigbys and Duffers.

Boat fishing for Pike with lures and dead seafish more than 18cm continues to November 25.

Sport has been steady this week at Ravensthorpe Reservoir.

Those anglers braving the weather have been rewarded with some good quality fish.

Season ticket holder John Smith ended his season in style by catching and returning a massive Rainbow estimated at 12lb.

John was bank fishing from Platform four.

Warden and shop assistant Mark helped John to land the massive fish.

Best methods have been floating or sinking lines with fry patterns or lures fished slow. Pike anglers are catching Pike up to 20lb on lures and dead baits this week.
