Teams bag mixed fortunes in triples league

Division Four – Daventry Town “B” 6 (86) Whyte Melville 0 (48)

DAVENTRY Town “B” made it three wins out of four to continue their good start to the season with a excellent 6 – 0 victory over Whyte Melville.

Winning on all four rinks with a shot difference of 38 this puts the team in good spirit for their upcoming KO Cup match against Second Division Byfield on June 25.

Rink 2: Jim Walvin, David Cooke, David Bellis; 14 – 11. Rink 3: Barry Bailey, John Sach, Rien Sach; 19 – 18. Rink 4: Martin Coyles, Eric Wareing, Bill Welch; 22 – 14. Rink 5: John Shanahan, John Worthington, Darrell Welch; 31 – 5.

Division Three – West Haddon 2 (55) Daventry Town “A” 4 (58)

After losing their first game away to Desborough, Daventry Town “A” have put together a run of three wins and continue to push for a place in the top two.

The “A” team are away to Harpole “A” in the Triples K.O. Cup on June 25.
