Spurs boss was at racecourse

A ROLLER-COASTER mix of bank holiday thrills and spills is the promise as Towcester brings down the curtain on its National Hunt season next Monday afternoon, when the first race gets underway at 2.15pm.

For one thing, you never know who you’re going to bump into at Towcester … only last Friday night the star appearance was provided by Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp, whose horse Violets Boy made its debut and ran sixth in the closing bumper race. Violets Boy was named after Redknapp’s late mother.
