FOLLOWING Saints’ league demotion and Towcester’s promotion last season the two sides found themselves yet again going up against each other in the Midlands Premier Division.
Towcester, desperately seeking another win this week, pulled out all the stops and following a strong start had the first shot on goal with 10 minutes gone.
Towcester went from strength to strength yet again pulling Saints apart with their new formation.
The first-half saw good hockey from both sides with Towcester maximising on their short corner routine to put away two goals from Lisa Prince.
One of these goals was a superb lob over the keeper from an accurate pass from Hannah Edwards.
Helen Parr found form again this week for her second hat-trick in as many games thanks to some excellent link play with Edwards, for which she earned player of the match.
An excellent team performance ended in a 5-0 win for Tows and goal keeper Sue Willers keeping a clean sheet.
This currently leaves them in third place in the league. They hope to maximise on this performance next week away at Leicester.
