WHITTLEBURY Park’s Brian Dipple has completed a golfing marathon in record time.
Brian took on the challenge of playing all four nine-hole loops at Whittlebury to raise money for the Captain’s charity, Arthritis Care.
He completed 26 miles 385 yards of golf in an amazing time of 10 hours 45 minutes.
Not only did he complete his task in a fantastic time, but he scored an average of 16 Stableford points for every nine holes and raised more than £800 for the charity.
“I just wanted to do my bit for the Captain’s Charity and the marathon distance, in Olympic year seemed a good challenge.
“I have had great support from the members and they all think I am mad,” Brian said after his ordeal.
Club captain Rob Watson said: “This is a fantastic feat and we are all very proud of Brian’s achievements.
“The money raised has boosted our fundraising efforts funds for this important charity and makes our goal of raising as much money as possible a little nearer.”
