After a short break the Daventry and District Netball League season got underway again.

The top two teams from the B league, Duston Ladies and G&T’s Orange went up into the A League and the bottom two teams from the A League, SAS and Fusion dropped to the B League.

The first match of the day was Delnet vs G&T’s Black, this was an extremely close match from start to finish as it went goal for goal thoughout. Both teams used the whole of the court to its full and the shooters were evenly matched. Delnet just managed to get the extra goal in before the final whistle to end with a score of 28-27.

Next on court was Cummins against Moulton Meerkats, the Meerkats took an early lead and with more accurate shooting took a convincing win of 29-9.

The third match was Grafton Gate Ladies versus Duston Ladies, the match began alot closer than the end scoreline suggests with Duston Ladies keeping up with the fast paced Grafton Gate for the first half.

Grafton made some changes and increased their lead throughout the final quarter to take the win of 41-20.

Next on court was Helix against Duston Juniors, another extremely close and hard fought match that could have gone either way, but Helix’s excellent defense and more accurate shooting meant they took a well deserved win of 16-12.

The last match was SAS versus Fusion, again, another close match ensued in this high scoring game. SAS just managed to edge away throughout the match to take the win 32-29.
