Daventry Town B travelled to Long Buckby FC in division one of the Daventry Darts League.

The match started well for the away side as Rachel Harris and Rich Dennis (140 start) came out of their game with a 2-0 win against Chris Lines and Brad Burns.

The home side however settled down quickly after this game and struck right back through Ian Bow and Mick Feasey also on their way to a 2 – 0 win against Dave Harris and Dave Keating.

Into the singles and Brad Burns kept the metal to the pedal as he saw off B Hill with another 2-0 win.

It was down to Rachel Harris to apply the brakes as she made all things even whilst defeating Ian Bow 2-0. Dave Keating could not push forward for the away side however as he too went down 2-0 to Chris Lines. It was Paul Scott who wrapped up, hitting a 180 on his way to another 2-0 victory over Clive Hart.

Rich Denis was to take the last game of the night away from Mick Feasey ensuring the 2-0 theme stayed in tacked. Final Score 4 – 3.

Casey’s travelled to Con Club A, but the match did not start well for them as Gary Birch and Dave Summerfield came away smarting from a 2-0 loss to Dave Burton and Ivan Lester.

Dave Jones and Nigel Turland brought the match level in the next game as they too beat Ray Hobrow and Simon Adkins also 2-0. Simon stayed at the oche and made amends in the first of the singles games as he took both legs without reply from Dave Summerfield.

Two nil was to prove once again to be the winning score throughout the rest of this match, with Burtie seeing off Nigel Turland of Casey’s then Ray Hobrow continuing the home side’s winning ways as he beat Gary Birch. Chris Gay managed to get back the first of the two remaining games as he defeated Stu Coe, but Dave Jones hit a brace of ton plus scores in his win over Ivan Lester despite he himself hitting a 180. Final Score 4-3.

Daventry Town A hosted Woodford Social Club, and it was to be Woodford who flew out of the blocks.

The pairings of Ricky Cole and Callum Lovell and Stuart Scarsbrook and Joe Newby both saw off their opponents consisting of Ray Jones (180) and Denis Job followed by John and Nigel Foster by 2-1 and then 2-0.

Callum Lovell then hit a 180 on his way to sealing the match beating Ray Jones 2-1.

The home side then made a mini revival. It was a little too late to win the match, but taking back what could prove to be some valuable legs in this closely-fought division.

Bully came out to beat Tom Goswell 2-0, Darran Foster took his game 2-1 against Chris Fynn, with Chris hitting a 180 of his own, and then David Brockwell taking his game 2 – 1 from Joe Newby. Final Score 3-4.
