Harlequins boss O’Shea: Saints is a fantastic club

Harlequins boss Conor O’Shea says Dorian West is ‘one of the best forwards coaches in the country’ and has labelled Premiership rivals Saints ‘a fantastic club’.

O’Shea’s comments come after he completed the signing of Northampton prop Paul Doran-Jones on a two-year deal.

The Quins boss was delighted to capture the 27-year-old tighthead, who moved to Saints from Gloucester in 2011.

And O’Shea knows his latest signing has plenty of pedigree, having been schooled by West for the past two seasons.

“We are very fortunate to be able to bring in a player of Paul’s ability,” he said. “Not only is Paul talented, at his age he will only get better.
“He comes from a fabulous club and has been coached by one of the best forwards coaches in the country so I have no doubt he will add greatly to what we have at Harlequins.

“We look forward to welcoming him to The Stoop at the start of next season.”
