A number of golf courses around Northamptonshire will reopen this week after a change in Government advice.
Many clubs have been closed since the lockdown was introduced on March 23.
But following Boris Johnson’s address to the nation on Sunday (May 10), many golf clubs are now planning to reopen.
The Prime Minister changed the coronavirus guidelines so that exercise is unlimited and that sport with members of your own household, or one member of another household, can resume if social distancing can be obeyed.
Golf governing body, The R&A, has backed the move to reopen golf courses and has released a set of guidelines on how to do so in accordance with Government advice.
Across Northamptonshire, there are several courses that have already confirmed a reopening date for this week.
Here are eight course that will open this week, along with the statements posted to the individual course’s website and details of the reopening.
