Taylor Noel scored twice to help Daventry Town Saxons Under-11s to an emphatic 4-0 win over Bugbrooke Yellow in the John Henry League.

Report: Saxons’ push for the title gathered pace as they outshone Bugbrooke. Saxons created chance after chance, before Taylor Noel broke the deadlock. Jonny Fletcher made it 2-0 after the break and Josh Adams made it 3-0 before Noel completed the scoring with his second. Man of the match was Joe Pursey, who was influential throughout alongside Charlie Trayford.

It’s Tom Brown’s day

TOM BROWN scored a hat-trick as Daventry Town Under-13s enjoyed a 5-1 win over Bilton.

Report: After weeks off with the bad weather, Daventry’s bid for promotion received a big boost with an emphatic 5-1 win over in form Bilton.

An early goal from Tom Brown was quickly cancelled out and the rest of the half was a closely fought affair until Shaun restored Daventry’s lead. 15 minutes into the second half Brown scored his second. With James, Harry, Nathan and Jordan controlling Bilton’s attack, Brown quickly completed his hat trick and Jamie wrapped up the game with five minutes to go.

Haddon clinch third

West Haddon Juniors Under-11s were 2-1 winners over Long Buckby Stags.

It was a result that ensured Haddon completed a successful league season to clinch third spot in the John Henry League.

Haddon played some great football throughout with top scorer Charlie Dowse and birthday boy Harry Mullen grabbing the important goals in the first half.

Goalkeeper Joshua Sharpe made a couple of important second half saves to keep the lead intact.

Alibone to the rescue

DAVENTRY Town Danes Under-10s drew 1-1 with Delapre Dragons in the John Henry B League.

Report: Danes settled early with good spells of possession against a tough Delapre side. However they conceded a soft penalty in the first five minutes, but Dan stood tall saving the penalty, only for Delapre to take the lead shortly aftereards.Danes captain Harvey Walker was then brought down for a penalty, which was also saved. In the second half Danes attacked non-stop and got their equaliser when Ciaran struck the ball into the top right corner. MOM was new signing Adam Morby.
