DAVENTRY Town Ladies FC have progressed into the semi-final of the Northamptonshire Women’s County Cup.
They booked their place in the next round after a dominant 7-0 win over county side Brackley Sports.
On a windy day not helped by the poor pitch conditions Daventry were slow to start, but soon began to find their stride.
They moved the ball around and caused the Brackley defence issues.
The deadlock was broken as Charlotte Copland’s cross was turned into her net by the centre-back.
Nicole Evans volleyed in from 12 yards on her return to the Town and Kerry Luckett bagged a brace.
With 10 minutes to go, Kelly Worthington heading in from six yards after a mistake by the keeper.
Loren Graham rounded off an impressive performances with a strike from 25 yards that found the top corner.
Up next is a top-of-the table clash against Mansfield Town at Communications Park on Sunday.
