Casey’s turned in a much-improved performance but still went down 2-1 to The Bell from Rugby in division one of the Rugby and District Sunday League.

A late second half goal sealed it for the visitors.

This after a hard-fought first half when Chris Trills equalised with a superb headed goal for Casey’s from a pin-point free kick from Stuart Clarke.

New signing Shaun Southeran and Kevin Eales had impressive performance along with Tom Consentino in Casey’s defence.

The Bell, boosted with several ex-Quigley players, were pushed all the way.

Casey’s face newcomers London Calling in Rugby on Sunday.

Casey’s Reserves were also beaten, going down 5-2 to Athletico Belbao Rugby.

Casey’s unbeaten run ended after a disappointing first half when they conceded three goals without reply.

However they regained some composure with a much-improved second half performance with goals from Alex OConnor and Tony Burkett.

Alex OConnor produced another man-of-the-match performance and Casey Farmer also produced a performance worthy of note.
