Moulton Magpies White 0

Saxons maintained their unbeaten home record and secured a vital point in a thoroughly entertaining, top-of-the-table clash against Moulton Magpies.

Saxons took the game to their visitors and dominated possession in the first-half but failed to find a breakthrough.

In a more open second-half, both teams had their chances to secure victory, but it was the Magpies that nearly stole the win late on with the Saxons saved by a post.

Man of the match was awarded to captain Charlie Trayford after an outstanding combative display.

Drayton Grange U16s Colts 1

Towcester Town U16s 3

Colts conceded a goal against the run of play. Then regaining their shape they equalised through a Chris Berrevoets strike into the top corner. After half-time Towcester played the long ball over the top finishing twice. Man of the match was Jack Sherlock.

D Grange Blades U14s 0

Bugbrooke 2

Blades worked their socks off but were unable to gain at least the point they deserved against a well-organised Bugbrooke outfit.

Forced into a reshuffle due to player holidays the boys were excellent and shaded the first-half exchanges. Goalkeeper turned striker Jamie Rogers was excellent as was Will Scott on his full debut for the Blades, jointly they won man of match.

Blades resistance was finally broken in the last five minutes conceding two well-taken goals.

Daventry Town Vikings U9s 2 Parkland Tigers Black U9s 1

A fantastic team performance from the Vikings who came back from a goal down to run out 2-1 winners against Parkland Tigers Black.

The Vikings were left stunned just before half-time as the Parkland Tigers took the lead when their corner kick deflected into the net from the crowded penalty area.

Halfway through the second-half the impressive Dan Ward fired the ball home with the assist from Sam Collins. The Vikings were awarded a penalty five minutes from time and Dan Ward coolly stepped up to slot the ball into the back of the net giving the Vikings a well-deserved victory and precious three points. Man of the match was Sam Collins.

Weedon Juniors U8s 2

Kingsthorpe Jets Tomcats 0

Weedon looked the stronger side throughout the first-half but at half-time it was 0-0. Weedon dominated the second-half with Tyler Read and George Lovesey both scoring goals ending the game with a 2-0 win.

Parklands 2

A very good performance from the Saxons who were unlucky to lose a game where they had a host of chances and plenty of the ball. There were excellent football at times in a hard-working team display. George Price scored the Daventry goal with a header.
