Rose set to turn down Cobblers to sign for Portsmouth
It is being reported by media on the south coast that Rose will undergo a medical at Fratton Park later today, and providing all is okay he will then sign for the Sky Bet League Two giants.
Rose was signed by the Cobblers from Oxford United on a short-term deal in the January transfer window.

Hide AdAfter being given his chance due to an injury suffered by Joel Byrom, Rose produced a string of impressive performances in the heart of midfield alongside John-Joe O’Toole as the Cobblers stormed to the league two title.
The former Manchester United trainee scored one goal - the winner in a 1-0 triumph against Wycombe Wanderers at Sixfields - in his 13 starts and two substitute appearances for the club.
Following Chris Wilder’s decision to leave the club the week after the season ended, Rose was offered a new deal by new Town boss Rob Page, but it seems he has instead opted to sign for Paul Cook’s Portsmouth, who missed out on promotion after losing in the play-off semi-finals.
Rose’s final appearance for the Cobblers was at Pompey on the final day of last season, where he produced a strong performance in Town’s 2-1 win.
