The Cobblers maintained their push for a place in the Sky Bet League Two promotion play-off places with a hard-earned 2-1 win over Luton Town at Sixfields on Saturday.

James Gray scored the all-important winner just four minutes from the end of normal time, the striker’s first goal for the club since his loan switch from Accrington Stanley.

Ricky Holmes had earlier scored from the penalty spot to cancel out Alex Lawless’s opener for the Hatters just after the half-time interval.

The Cobblers return to league two action on Friday when they travel to AFC Wimbledon.
