Around 40 supporters were at the ground early in the morning to take the snowfall off the pitch and the covers were clear by 11.30am.

The referee inspected the surface at that point and has given the game the green light to go ahead.

A large crowd is expected for the game against the Us, with the club running a ‘bring a buddy’ scheme – it is also likely to be bolstered further by the postponement of several other local games.

A small amount of tickets remain on sale for the game and are available for phoning the club on 01604 683777.
