Highlights: Northampton Town 3-0 Blackpool
Northampton Town continued their recent good record in the Capital One Cup when they eased past Blackpool in the first round on Tuesday night.
Chris Hackett put the Cobblers into a 21st minute lead before 18-year-old Dominic Calvert-Lewin added a second three minutes later on his Northampton debut.
Fellow Sixfields debutant Sam Hoskins then made it 3-0 with a third goal in nine minutes and that’s how it stayed until full-time despite further chances for the hosts.
The draw for the second round takes place live on Sky Sports 1 after the conclusion of Doncaster versus Leeds United this evening.
