Mixed fortunes in soccer sevens

CLUB Tropicana ran out 4-2 winners against newcomers F.C G.B.F in the Soccer Sevens Football League.

Adam Corcoran, Adam Confue and Jake Sanderson gave Tropicana a three-goal advantage. Then the goal of the game came from a superbly-struck long-range effort from Joe Corney.

Marcin Chmielewski and Wojtek Butynski were on target for F.C G.B.F.

The Sons of Pitches and Werder Flemin played out a 1-1 draw.

Sam Burke had given The Sons of Pitches an early lead and they looked comfortable for the three points until a late long-range drive from Dean Fleming found the net.

Ajax Treesdown played fine football and beat CSM Daventry 9-1. Kyle Young led the way with three neat finishes, Jack Wise and Tom Freezer both hit doubles.

Adam Creaney and Henry Spears also chipped in with goals.

Bernard Zdyb was CSM’s goalscorer with a calm finish one-on-one with the keeper. Olimpic Daventry played some excellent counter attacking football beating Newnham FC 4-0.

Oleg Urbanovics weighed in with a brilliant treble continuing his excellent form in front of goal. Pavel Chluby also found the net.
