DAVENTRY Town Ladies football club progressed into the quarter finals of Northamptonshire County Cup with an impressive 9-2 victory over county side Roade LFC.
The game was played in misty fog which continued to worsen as the game went on.
Daventry had to adjust to the conditions but it was not long until the away side moved the ball well and opened the scoring. Zoe Haddon scored her first of two in her player of the match performance.
A mix-up at the back allowed Roade to equalise, but Daventry continued to play great combination football and were soon 3-1 up after two quick goals from hat-trick scoring Luckett.
Another mix-up at the back allowed Roade to score a second before half time. But Daventry added a fourth straight away from Kelly Worthington.
The second-half was all Daventry as they took control of the game.
Further goals came from Charlotte Copland, Lauren Roberts and Jess Holley rounded off an impressive win.
Daventry now have a week off before entertaining Barlestone at Communications Park on December 4 in the East Midlands Premier Division.
