Daventry Town manager Darran Foster says the quicker his side reach his 40-point target the better.
Despite last weekend’s defeat against Market Drayton Town, Daventry are still fourth in Division One South of the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League.

On Saturday, Town make the long journey to Lincoln United while Loughborough Dynamo are the next visitors to Communications Park the following Saturday.
Foster said: “Our aim remains the same – to stay in this division – and I think 40 points should ensure that so the sooner we get them the better.
“We’re more than halfway towards that total so anything else will be a bonus for us given where we were when we started the season.
“This is such a tight division, we’re fourth but there are only four points between us and Lincoln who are down in 15th place. We’ve beaten teams we should have lost to and not got anything against some teams who we feel are not as good as us. You can easily get dragged down towards the relegation area even if you are around the play-offs, it’s that tight.”
Foster has a full squad for the trip to Lincoln apart from on-loan midfielder Connor Kennedy who has gone back to his parent club Corby Town
Meanwhile, Daventry travel to Brackley Town Saints in the next round of the NFA Hillier Cup.
