Chris Trill scored four goals as Daventry Drayton Grange coasted into the next round of the Northants FA Lower Junior Cup.

Trill was the main man as Grange cruised to a 5-0 win at South Northants League side Wicken, the other goal coming from Jed Brennan.

It was a doubly good day for Grange, as they also clung on to top spot in division one of the Northants Combination.

Rivals Burton United had the chance to go top, but could only draw their game.

That meant they drew level on points with Grange, but stay behind them on goal difference, and Grange have two games in hand.

Weedon are third, a point behind Grange having played a game more thanks to their 3-0 win over Corby Pegasus.

Weedon’s matchwinners were Ashley Brown, Jordan Casey and Tom Murfitt.

In Division Two, West Haddon Albion went down 3-1 at Kislingbury despite Alex Burley’s goal, but in Reserve Division Two, West Haddon’s second string were 4-1 winners over Corby Ravens. Scorers were Nic Jones (2), Charlie Wright and Ed Harman.
