Long Buckby threw away a 2-0 lead to lose 3-2 at Newport Pagnell in the UCL Premier Division on Saturday.

Newport started brightly, but missed opportunities before Buckby scored twice in two minutes to take charge.

Josh Crawley fired the visitors in front after 34 minutes, latching onto a miscued defensive header to fire past Josh McAdoo with Joe Power doubling the visiting advantage two minutes later.

Good work by Matt Broomes on the left set up Darren Frost to reduce the arrears a minute before half time.

The pair combined again after 54 minutes as Frost again rounded off a cross from Broomes from the right this time.

Four minutes later Frost completed a match winning comeback with a shot from just inside the box.

Buckby will be hoping to get back to winning ways on Saturday, but it will be a big ask as they tavel to sixth-placed Yaxley.

Woodford kep the score at 0-0 until the half-time break, but once Rushden broke the deadlock on 50 minutes, it was one-way traffic.
