ON FORM Long Buckby have extended their 100 per cent record in the league this season with a 2-0 away win over Northampton Spencer on Tuesday night.

Buckby played their way into the game and were rewarded when Fazel Koriya made a great run down the right and his cross was met majestically by Russ Dunkley to give Buckby a 30th-minute lead.

The visitors had chances to increase their lead but these were squandered and the score stayed at 1-0 at half-time.

Foster, Ling and Dunkley were all denied in the first 10 minutes of the second-half.

Spencer caused a minor panic in the Buckby defence when following a corner the ball ricocheted around the box before being deflected for yet another corner but this was eventually cleared with ease.

Buckby introduced Davis at the expense of Foster on 75 minutes and this resulted in a switch with Koriya down the middle and Davis on the right.

Buckby were once again controlling the game and eventually a corner met by Dan Chilton was headed home on 82 minutes to make the game safe.

Ashley Eales, a recent signing from Woodford United, made his debut coming on for Greg Ling.

Buckby take a rest from league action this weekend when they take on Dunstable Town in the FA Vase at Station Road on Saturday.
