BLADES progressed to the next round of the County Cup with the Blades’ strikers being the difference in this game.
Brackley scored within the first minute only for Nathan Butler to equalise immediately.
Blades then took control and added a superb second goal with Joe Squirrels’ inch-perfect pass falling for Nathan Butler to chip the keeper.
The third followed from Christian Harper who fired in after a defensive clearance. The second-half saw Nathan Butler add two more to take his tally to four for the game.
Brackley added a late consolation goal.
Man of the match was Nathan Butler.
Daventry Town U13s 2
Daventry went one up through a Robbie Farrell run but Crick battled well to equalise before half-time.
In the second-half Crick went ahead shortly after Robbie equalised again for the town. Crick took the game 5-2 and man of the match Charley Spree was at his best in goal.
Drayton Grange Diamonds U15s 0
Welland Valley Rangers 7
This was the first game of the New Year and Diamonds were being outplayed in every single area. Welland scored five by half-time.
Diamonds played better in the second-half moving the ball around with more confidence. Two further goals for Welland sealed the result, but Diamond need to start taking their chances.
Daniel Murdoch had an outstanding game and deserved his man of the match.

After the Christmas break a great end-to-end football match saw this top-of-the-table clash go right to the wire.
The match saw Blaine and James Davey have good runs to put the ball into the penalty box for Ed Moyes to score a well-taken goal.
Aiden and James were solid in defence and there was excellent goal keeping from Jack Ramsden.
At half-time it was 1-1 then in the first 10 minutes of the second-half Mathew Ridgewell passed to Brandon Holmes who found Ed Moyes to set Thomas Clements up for the winner in a great team effort.
Alex Osborne put some good passes together in what was overall a great match putting Daventry Town top of the league for the start of 2011.
Man of the match went to Brandon Holmes.

Drayton Grange Blades 5
After Grange went two-nil up Saxons tried their hardest to get back into the game with Walker and Witherington at the heart of the Saxons build up play and Clements hitting the bar.
Alford came close a couple of times and Grange doubled their lead later on.
A great saves from Griffin kept the scoreline down.
Long Buckby U11s 3
Hackleton Harriers 1
A winning start to 2011 for Long Buckby at Hackleton as both teams showed desire to get back to playing football after the long break.
Following chances for both teams, Brandon opened the scoring for Buckby to end the first half 1-0.
He then added his second after the break, before good passing play resulted in Hackleton making it 2-1.
Hackleton pushed for the equaliser but Buckby took advantage of this and Cameron converted a cross to score his first goal for the club to settle the game which ended 3-1.
D Town Saxons U10s 4
Blisworth Green 1
After going 1-0 down, the Saxons quickly found their game and created plenty of chances and equalised after George Price dribbled through to score.
A good defensive display by Callum Prentice and Daniel Fox kept the Saxons on top and a long ball from Callum set George up to send the Saxons 2-1 up.
Ryan Maxwell moved through the defence to make the score 3-1 after half-time and George completed his hat-trick after good work from Tom Brown on the wing.
Harry Price kept the score at 4-1 with a tremendous late save diving low to his right.
