Ripley urges Steelbacks to respond against Foxes

The Steelbacks were slaughtered by 220 runs at Surrey on Monday night, slipping to their heaviest one-day defeat.
It was a sobering encounter at the Kia Oval and came just two days after a disappointing display in a 54-run reverse at home to Durham Jets.

And Ripley is urging his team to turn things around, just as they did in the NatWest T20 Blast, in which they have made the quarter-finals after losing their first three matches.
“We left ourselves a tough job in the 20-over competition, losing our first three, and we find ourselves in a similar position, having lost two from eight in this tournament,” he said.
“I still think we can go on that run that will win us the matches we need but we’ve got to improve individually.
“We’ve got to get out of the blocks, games are running out.
“It’s a home game and we’ve played pretty well at home in the T20 campaign so we need to get stuck in and show a response from what was a disappointing night for us at Surrey.”
